Dickie Felton

I write about music and football

Dickie was born Richard Felton in July 1973, in the now demolished Liverpool Oxford Street hospital.

A stunning failure in education, he once finished bottom of the entire school.

Early years were spent trainspotting at Crewe and York Railway stations before finding a calling on the terraces at Marine AFC and Anfield.

First jobs involved writing for the Liverpool Echo and Daily Post about murders, fatal road accidents and lottery wins - usually in the same day.

For the last 15 years home "normal work" has been the world of PR.

He has written two books about Morrissey fans and is working on a third tome about non-league football.
